Meet the Speaker: Leila Mouri
We’re thrilled to introduce Leila Mouri, a dynamic speaker who will be sharing her insights at our upcoming Change Management for Utilities Conference! As the Principal Innovation Specialist at ComEd, Leila brings a wealth of experience in navigating complex challenges and driving impactful change. Get to know more about Leila, her passions, and what fuels her drive for innovation.
1. Name, title, Company: Leila Mouri, Principal Innovation Specialist, ComEd

2. Family, hometown, where you live: I live with my husband and 6-year-old son in a Chicago suburb.
3. What’s your industry experience? I’ve worked across innovation, strategy, and community impact— currently in the energy sector, but with expansive experience roots in education and international advocacy. Right now, I lead innovation programs at ComEd, helping cross-functional teams turn ideas into real, measurable outcomes.
4. What do you do when you’re not at work? Hobbies? Family? I’m an avid reader—thrillers and historical fiction are my go-to genres. I also love to travel with my family; it’s how we recharge and reconnect. Our most recent adventure was to Tenerife in the Canary Islands last March—beautiful landscapes, great food, and much-needed sunshine.

5. Where do you see yourself a year from now? Still solving complex problems, but on a bigger scale. I want to keep building strategies that make innovation stick. Will be leading teams that turn bold ideas into actionable solutions—teams that are deeply aligned with impact, execution, and purpose.
6. What’s your biggest challenge? Balancing long-term strategy with the need for quick wins. Driving innovation in large systems is tricky—but I’ve learned how to move things forward without losing the bigger picture.
7. Who are your role models? People who mix strategy with empathy. I admire leaders who speak truth to power but know how to build coalitions; Smart, mission-driven, and not afraid to shake things up.
8. What’s your number one goal? To lead work that matters—where innovation isn’t just flashy but actually moves the needle on equity, efficiency, or access.
9. What are you most excited about right now? That innovation is finally being seen as more than just tech—it’s about systems, culture, and people. That’s where I love to play.
10. What are you most grateful for right now? For the people I’ve worked with and learned from—and for roles that let me stay curious and make an impact.
We look forward to hearing Leila’s insights at the conference! Stay tuned for more speaker spotlights.
