February 14, 2019 by Gus Calabrese Leave a Comment

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Galentine's Day!

Love it or hate it you are aware of Valentine’s Day. Head out last minute to purchase roses, jewelry, plush animals and a fancy dinner to show how much you love and adore your other half.

Are you familiar with Galentine’s Day? Unofficially celebrated on February 13. This one is for the ladies and started from a TV episode of Parks and Recreation.

“What’s Galentine’s Day? Oh, it’s only the best day of the year,” Knope says to the camera. “Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it breakfast style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair — minus the angst. Plus frittatas.”

Since the first airing, Leslie Knope’s tradition has been celebrated by with women everywhere. Celebrating Galentine’s Day can be as simple as drinks with your favorite friends or elaborate as full-blown parties. So mark your calendars for next year, grab your girlfriends and start a new tradition!

No matter which romantic holiday you celebrate, at Conferences Connect we love to connect our attendees, speakers, sponsors, and destinations!

We look forward to seeing you at an event soon!
