BillingTree®, one of the nation’s leading on-demand payment processors, today announced it has been tapped to contribute electronic billing and payment technology content at the upcoming Conferences Connect Summer School 2012 Series. For the second year running the company will lead presentations, participate in panels and host workshops for Conferences Connect.
Conferences Connect is a source for high quality conferences, webinars and courses designed specifically for electric utility and other energy industry executives. By bringing attendees face-to-face with utility and energy specialists, they learn from peers, network and connect. The Summer School 2012 Series is comprised of several multi-day conferences including the following four which BillingTree will be participating in:
July 16-18, Billing and Payments for Utilities in Denver
July 18-20, Credit & Collections for Utilities in Denver
August 13-15, Utility Web Self-Service & Mobile Strategies in San Diego
August 15-17, Customer Experience Management for Utilities in San Diego
BillingTree’s Utility Vertical Manager, Art Coutcher, will be presenting and sitting on all panels for the company and will address topics including the use of SMS Text messaging for bill resentment and payment, EBPP, payment account verification, the utilization of virtual agents for past due balance collections, as well as online payment portals and the potential impact of a five day mail week on the billing cycle.
“There is so much opportunity and new technology for utilities and municipalities to tap that can help reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction, as they relate to the billing and payment cycle,” said Coutcher. “My participation in the summer school program again this year allows me to share valuable insights with the key decision makers for the utility industry while at the same time, continue to learn what challenges they are facing and offer solutions based recommendations to topics such as the likely end to Saturday mail service in the near future.”
“We are delighted to have BillingTree on board for a second year running, providing a key role during our upcoming summer conference series,” said Ashley Baptiste, CEO of Conferences Connect, LLC. “The vast experience and wealth of knowledge which the company has on the newest developments in billing and payment processing for the energy, municipality and utility markets will significantly enhance the quality of our event.”
