March 21, 2017 by Gus Calabrese

Snapchat debuted September of 2011. Snapchat is messaging platform and a social network. It exists only as a mobile app you can download to your iPhone or Android smartphone.

7 Reasons Snapchat Should have Your AttentionSnapchat has our attention, check out these seven reasons it should have yours!

  1. 300 Million users – Snapchat is one of the fastest growing social media platforms.

  2. 75% engagement – Followers on Snapchat consume content at a greater rate than any other platform

  3. 41% of the 18-24 crowd use Snapchat every day – if this is your demographic, Snapchat is the best way to reach them

  4.  Snapchat filters – Do you have a store, an event, a one-day promotion? Snapchat filters start at $5 and are the best marketing value on the planet!

  5. Tell Your Story – Show your followers what you do throughout the day.

  6. Learn from top movers and shakers! – the most popular people and the fastest growing brands are sharing behind the scenes moments.

  7. It’s not going away – Snapchat had revenue of $366M in 2016 and is positioned to generate over $1B this year. This coupled with an IPO at one of the highest levels in years will keep Snapchat relevant in 2017!

Social media is a moving target and Snapchat is moving faster than most. I highly recommend downloading the app and learning to use before you become your parents.

Capacity, flow, logistics and attention to the details are major components of both Petroleum and event management. Gus’ event background includes some of Philadelphia’s most recognized events, The Reindeer Romp (3,000 participants), The World’s Largest Bar Crawl (15,000 participants), Xtoberfest (7,500 participants) on average over 50,000 tickets are sold to events produced by Gus. Since early 2011 Gus has been involved with logistics for Conferences Connect.
