Interview
Tell us about yourself.
I’m a proud Angeleno, born and raised in Los Angeles, but I’ve traded in the city lights for the slightly calmer suburbs of Orange County. I’ve been married forever (okay, not forever, but long enough to know that compromise is just a fancy word for “Yes, dear”). My four kids—ranging from 25 to 18—keep me on my toes, which is probably why I’ve mastered the art of predictive modeling. If I can predict what my kids will ask for next, I can predict anything!
What do you do?
For the past 30 years, I’ve been in the utility industry, specializing in predictive modeling. Basically, I help companies make sense of data and anticipate what’s coming next. So if you need to know whether your energy bill is going up or if your toddler will throw a tantrum before bedtime—I’m your person.
What do you do for fun?
I recently wrapped up my doctoral journey, which means my “fun” used to include endless nights of research and caffeine-fueled writing sessions. Now that I have my life back, I spend my weekends making memories with my husband and kids on road trips. Nothing says family bonding like being stuck in a car together for hours, right?

Where do you see yourself a year from now?
Still breaking glass ceilings—just hopefully with fewer bruises! I want to continue empowering women to take their seat at the table and reminding them that if there’s no seat, bring your own chair (preferably one with armrests and a cup holder).
What’s your biggest challenge?
Balancing it all. Some days, I feel like a CEO, a consultant, a mom, a wife, a chef, and a referee all in one. But the real challenge? Remembering why I walked into a room in the first place.
Who are your role models and why?
My biggest role models are the women who came before us and made a way when there was no way—women like my mother, who showed me resilience; my mentors, who taught me to lead; and every woman who has ever looked at an impossible situation and said, “Watch me.”
What is your number one goal?
To keep paving the way for women in leadership, making space at the table, and ensuring that future generations don’t have to fight as hard as we did. Oh, and maybe to finally get eight hours of sleep.
What are you most excited about RIGHT NOW?
The ADVANCE Woman Leadership Program for Utilities & Energy conference! Getting to share this space with so many incredible, driven women is an energy boost like no other.
What are you most grateful for RIGHT NOW?
I’m deeply grateful for the journey that has brought me here—the challenges that shaped me, the mentors who lifted me, and the strong women who continue to inspire me. I’m thankful for my family, who remind me daily why I do what I do, and for the opportunity to stand in rooms like this, surrounded by brilliant, fearless women who are changing the world. Most of all, I’m grateful for the chance to pay it forward, to uplift others, and to be part of a movement where women are no longer just asking for a seat at the table—we’re building our own.
