Meet the Speaker: Rachel B. Williams
Rachel B. Williams is a woman of many talents—a senior project manager at Tetra Tech, Inc., a dedicated business owner, and a passionate advocate for women in the energy industry. As she prepares to speak at The Power Conference to ADVANCE Women in Energy, we sat down with her to discuss her career, her passions, and what drives her.

- Name, title, Company?
Rachel B. Williams, Tetra Tech, Inc. - Family, hometown, where you live:?
I’m married to Miles Williams, and we have no kids. I grew up near Corpus Christi, Texas, and currently live in Houston. - What is your industry experience?
I have 17 years in the energy industry as an Environmental Permitting Project Manager. I started my career as a wetlands biologist and worked my way up to a senior project manager. Now, I’m in more of a business development role, connecting energy leaders with the environmental and engineering services they need to complete their projects on time and on budget. - What do you do when you’re not at work? Hobbies? Family?
In my “spare time,” I run my own business, Maven Leadership, where I help women in energy create unique and fulfilling leadership roles. I’m also the sole caretaker of my mom and a “fur-mom” to three cats and a mini-Aussie. - Where do you see yourself one year from today?
Still doing what I’m doing! More speaking, more coaching, and more networking! - What is your biggest challenge?
Growing my Maven Leadership membership! I want to impact as many women as I can, so growing the group and my podcast are my two big missions. - Who are your role models (and why)?
Oprah Winfrey because she built an amazing career uncovering human stories and empowering women, which is what I aim to do. Also, Celine Dion because she is such a beautiful singer, and I’ve been a singer and performer my whole life. - What is your number one goal?
To grow the Maven Leadership membership to 1,000 women! - What are you most excited about RIGHT NOW?
Finishing building my mom’s house on our three acres and moving her in! We’ve built a little family compound out here, and I can’t wait to start inviting people over and making memories! - What are you most grateful for RIGHT NOW?
My speaking opportunities. It’s literally a dream come true to be able to inspire people from the stage.
